Featured projects: Keep 600 students advancing with Tutorial classes that bridge the teacher gap in local schools. Extra classes open to all students use best qualified teachers for each subject, covering grades to next advance: 5th, 6th, 9th and 12th. 3rd grade reading classes give a head start in English. Only $20 – $50 per student for a full year.
Teacher training scholarships send teachers to 3-year certification courses on school breaks. They apply what they learn each term back in their own classrooms. $700 pays annual tuition and travel expenses.
